Job Description

Rain Shadow Meats is a full service butchery featuring all local meats, house made Charcutiere, and a custom curing room. We are centrally located in the Melrose Market at the base of Capitol Hill in downtown Seattle, and currently in the process of hiring for our second shop opening this coming March in the historic Pioneer Square.

Our mission
is to bring back the local neighborhood butcher with an emphasis on whole animal butchery, education, and the creation of community. We work with local farms to provide farmers with a means to reach the public through our customers and to guarantee the highest quality products.

Rain Shadow Meats will promote education and customer service by offering classes in meat and butchery, custom cuts, and we are excited to announce our first ever kitchen and lunch counter!

We are looking for a casual service staff in addition to our meat cutting team. This will entail lunch and early evening service, with occasional dinners and special events. Hours of operation will be from 10am to 7pm, every day.

There are 4 positions available, both full and part time.

Duties will include operating Dinerware, POS System, taking orders, running food, bussing, restocking and resetting.

We are excited to offer domestic and Euro beers and wine, so you must have a class 12 permit and a basic knowledge of beer and wine. Also, a well rounded knowledge of meat is obviously a plus.

We are interested in self motivated people with an easy going attitude and a sharp attention to detail. Organization and cleanliness are imperative! This position will require the ability to work well with others in a busy environment while remaining gracious with customers.

Please have 2 years experience in high-volume food service industry related to FOH.
