What you'll be doing.

As a receptionist, you will be the firm's first point of contact, professionally greeting our clients, vendors, job applicants and other visitors.  You will operate our multi-line phone system, responding to incoming and outgoing phone calls in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.  You will respond to inquiries, take messages, and provide accurate information regarding staff schedules and availability.  You will inventory and order all general and architectural supplies.  You will coordinate our incoming and outgoing vendor services (e.g., reprographics, mail, courier services, etc.).  You will maintain the attractive, neat appearance of the reception and common areas including kitchen, conference rooms, copy and print rooms.  You will restock and maintain all print areas.  You will provide administrative support to staff as needed.

Who you are.

.     Experienced. You have at least one (1) year of reception, clerical or customer service experience, preferably in a professional services firm.  Experience operating a multi-line phone system.

.     Engaging. You have a positive, outgoing personality that immediately puts people at ease and makes them feel welcome.  You handle the many interruptions associated with a reception desk position with grace and good humor.

.     Multi-tasker. You proactively seek out opportunities to be of service to others.  You are a master at multi-tasking, able to manage multiple assignments, despite interruption, without missing a deadline.
Great communicator. You demonstrate excellent phone etiquette, verbal and written communication skills.

.     Reliable. You demonstrate an understanding of the importance of your role to the firm and our guests by maintaining good attendance and punctuality.  On the job, your work product is delivered on time with a high degree of accuracy.

.     Flexible.  This is a part-time, temporary position starting March 18, 2013 and ending June 21, 2013.  You must available to work Monday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and be available to cover for the morning receptionist occasionally as needed.
