a unit for the duration of appointment. Plus up to 20 hours at minimum wage

Job Description:
As a member of the Residential Life and Housing Department, the Resident Assistant (RA) is responsible for helping to create an enjoyable living and learning environment in the residence facility. The RA is expected to conduct him/herself in a manner consistent with the responsibilities outlined below and with Ai Seattle policies. The Resident Assistant is a source of encouragement, support, constructive criticism and information in helping the residents to become successful both academically and personally.
Basic Job Requirements:
-Be on duty in the housing facility conducting rounds of the building, confronting violations of the rules and regulations, interacting with residents, and providing activities
- Perform general office tasks (e.g., responding to student inquiries, answering phones, filing, making posters/flyers and updating activities calendar
- Assist with events including move-ins, move-outs, orientations, open houses, roommate day and other housing related events.
- Complete projects as assigned by the Residence Life Coordinator or Associate Dean of Student Affairs.
Specific Job Requirements:
1) Enrolled at the Art Institute of Seattle, and NOT in last two quarters of study.
2) Good academic, disciplinary and financial standing during the time of appointment.
3) Minimum CGPA of 2.5 during the time of appointment.
4) Prior residency in school-sponsored housing.
