About Us
Even on the greyest Seattle day, summer is in full swing at Cactus. Locals gather under colorful decor to savor creative Mexican and Southwestern food, sip hand-crafted cocktails, and celebrate. The hum of satisfied conversation hangs in the air, mingling with smoked chili and a lightly salted breeze. If it weren’t for the raincoats draped over every chair, you’d swear you’d arrived in Puerto Vallarta.
For more than 20 years, Cactus has been satisfying Seattle with fresh, meticulously prepared fare inspired by the flavors of Mexico and the Southwest. The flagship restaurant opened in the lakeside Madison Park neighborhood in 1990, and 3 more locations now nestle up against the water in downtown Kirkland, Alki Beach, and South Lake Union.
On the menu, you’ll find updated takes on staples such as tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas alongside original creations that aren’t available anywhere else in the city. Executive Chef Brent Novotny is constantly debuting new tastes on the weekly fresh sheet. At the bar, signature cocktails and margaritas are blended from fresh-squeezed juice, fresh herbs, and premium liquors. Everything is prepared with an eye on detail and quality.
