Student Assistant

Job Description: 
Represent the Department and the Institute  in a professional manner. Act in accordance with the department guidelines established by the Dean of Student Affairs.

Answer incoming calls and direct them to the requested party or appropriate staff member.

Greet Students, parents and visitors. Assist in informing them of services provided by the Dept. and refer them to outside services when necessary.

Use college database, Microsoft and Adobe Suite.

Provide word processing, proofreading and photocopying assistance as required. Prepare fliers, signs, brochures and bulletin boards as needed. Occasionally lift boxes or pull a dolly.

Assist in the preparation of special events including: Portfolio Review, Job Fair, Cap and Gown services, etc.

Integrity, punctuality and dependability

Prefer someone who has strong organizational skills and has worked in an office setting.

Other duties assigned by the Administrative Assistant

Hours per Week: 20

Salary: $9.04 (min. wage WA State)

Prefer work study eligible students
