Donation Station Attendant - Part Time
Location: Seattle, WA
Department: Seattle Thrift
Days: 2-3 days per week; 10 hours per day
Hours: 8:00am -6:30pm


Description


We are looking for part-time Donation Station Attendants to work for our Seattle Thrift Sales Department. This position assists the public by accepting screened donations and properly loading these donations onto pre-assigned stationary trucks, answering questions and providing information pertaining to Northwest Center's mission, the disposition of donated goods, and the positive impact these donations have on Northwest Center's services.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for part-time work. Schedule is 2-3 full days per week from 8:00am to 6:30pm, flexible on days. This position will be based out of the South Seattle location.



Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

•Work flexible hours that are subject to change based on seasonality, and work schedule as written

•Drive donation truck as instructed by management

•May be called upon to assist at onsite donation stations in Savers stores

•Daily prepare truck prior to leaving base by checking fluids, lights, tires, etc, for proper functionality, and reporting any vehicle problems to the driver supervisor

•Drive to and park at pre-assigned location and prepare for shift activities

•Efficiently assist each customer with their donation, and while screening items for acceptability provide a high degree of customer service that enhances Northwest Center's reputation

•Distribute information, literature and bags as required

•Accurately track and record donations onto a log sheet throughout shift, separating them into three categories (cloth, miscellaneous and furniture)

•Properly separate donations into three categories (cloth, miscellaneous and furniture) and stack items on the truck in a logical and orderly manner

•Accurately and thoroughly fill out truck report

•Unload truck at designated store, or trailer, as indicated by supervisor and complete store card to document unload from truck

•Perform other work related duties as assigned




Requirements:

•Valid Washington State driver's license

•Clean five (5) year driving record

•Excellent customer service skills

•Ability to lift goods weighing 25lbs. consistently and on occasion up to 75lbs and ability to maintain physical activity for the duration of a 10 hour shift

•Ability to pass criminal history background check, pre-employment drug test, and fit for duty physical

•Candidates must pass a drug screen, and a background check prior to employment.
